About This Blog
In November 2010, when I was living in China with my boyfriend Adam, I was trying to grow some crops in our small studio flat with no balcony. I bought some pots and seeds from the market and we collected some soil from a local park. I found it difficult to find the information I needed regarding what I could grow in containers, especially indoors on the 18th floor! Somehow I managed to grow a couple of healthy tomato plants and a few other small things and I was addicted! Adam suggested I create a blog about my attempts to grow food in an urban environment and I thought it was a great idea.
This blog is about food. It is about trying to grow food in a flat in a city (currently London), about trying to cook your own food whilst living a hectic professional life. And about anything else which seems relevant to me regarding food in cities. I love cities and I love food. I really believe the two can co-exist harmoniously!
That is my blog; I hope you enjoy reading it. Follow me on twitter, pinterest or subscribe to my feed if you would like to be kept informed when I post. Otherwise just stop by when you like. I will try to post frequently, especially when things are busy with the garden.
Welcome to my blog!
